WALLACEBURG COMMUNITY LIVING
10 volunteers, and residents from Wallaceburg Community Living participated in a seeding event at the CK Municipal greenhouses last Friday. It was the first time they had done anything like this. Everyone enjoyed planting Pin Oak, and Big Shell Bark Hickory. The Community Living group brings the seedling total up to capacity at 10 000, and finishes the job for 2009. Thanks so much to the Beth, Cindy, Heather, and residents. Way to be on the cutting edge of greening your community. Once the greenhouse is fully green we'll have the groups back for a tour. After that the next phase of the program will be hardening off and lining out.

The cold-frame boxes are covered in leaf litter to help insulate the seeds from the cold throughout the winter and mimic a natural environment
