The 2nd Blenheim Brownies, led by Robin Rideau, planted 16 trees on May 18th at a local soccer field on Pook Road in Blenheim, Ontario. The Blenheim Brownies, joined by one Scout and several leaders and parents, planted each tree with care, providing the trees with mulch around the base of the tree and staking each tree to help protect against the effects of wind. The group received a grant to fund the tree planting event from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation as part of an Earth Day initiative to help increase the tree cover in their local community.
