Mr. Belanger, a teacher at Ecole Secondaire de Pain Court, organized a tree planting event at his property near Pain Court, Ontario that took place May 1st. 50 students from the school were bused to the location to participate in the 2.5 hour event. The students paired up in groups and planted 500 trees on the property. The trees were purchased through the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority by Mr. Belanger, to restore the parcel of land. It was a great experience for the students who were able to get their hands dirty and help improve the environmental health of their community.Friday, June 7, 2013
