John McGregor Secondary School brightens up a community park

Corrinne Lally's Science class from John McGregor Secondary School planted 8 large-stock trees at Briarwood Park in Chatham, Ontario on April 26th. The class of 10 students worked together on the hot April day to brighten up the municipal park. Many residents stopped by during the planting to show their appreciation for the students hard work to plant the trees and make the park a little more attractive.

The cold-frame boxes are covered in leaf litter to help insulate the seeds from the cold throughout the winter and mimic a natural environment
